BELAGAVI: The Katakol Police has arrested a sick minded man for allegedly forcing his 25-year-old wife to have sex with a dog. Based on a complaint filed on March 25 Sandip Pandey was arrested and produced before the court, and then remanded in judicial custody. The incident took place in Belagavi district. The wife has allegedly threatened his wife to have sex with a dog otherwise he would throw her out of the house, the wife said in her complaint to the Police. Sandip Pandey (name changed) has been arrested by the Police on various charges including unnatural offences. He works as a truck owner-cum-driver. The wife in her complaint told Police that for the last four months he showed her explicit sex videos on his mobile phone in the nights and wanted her to act in the same way as the videos showed. One day Sandip Pandey allegedly forced her to have sex with a dog. Sandip Pandey had allegedly told his wife on March 22, at about 10.30 pm that he has brought home a dog and wanted to force the canine dog on her. He had said allegedly to her, “Remain in the house only if you can sleep with the dog”. Later he had allegedly threatened her and forced her and his three children to leave the house. Following this the woman mustered up courage to file a complaint with the Katakol police. The woman had undergone torture since the past four months she said in her complaint. Section 498 (A) (Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (Criminal Intimidation) and 377(unnatural offences) of the Indian Penal Code were registered against Sandip Pandey by the Police.
