Malkajgiri: To help patients during this Covid pandemic time the blood donation camp was organized by Sri Astothara Satha (108) Chukkala Charitable Trust Dr. Venu Chukkala, founder chairman in coordination with Indian Red Cross at Sai Baba Temple Sai Nagar Malkagiri supported by Rachakonda Security Council. 62 units of blood were collected from 8 am to 12 noon on 24th May 2021. CP Rachakonda Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS appreciated all good samaritans donating blood for a noble cause.
Many youth from Malkajgiri Division, voluntarily walked into the camps to donate blood. Indian Red Cross Society stated that donated blood would be used for saving the lives of patients, emergency & accident victims across the Telangana State. As the COVID-19 mass vaccination is underway and blood donation is not accepted from people who have been vaccinated.
A blood donation camp was organized well in advance to reserve blood for patients to tide over the crisis during the ongoing pandemic. As many as 62 units of blood were collected from donors at Malkajgiri Division, handed over to Red Cross Society. A group of 1 doctor and 05 technicians were present for conducting the camp today at Malkajgiri Sai Baba Temple, Sai Nagar. Refreshments were served to all donors who participated in the camp. SHO Malkajgiri Mr. Jagdeesh Rao, RKSC Chief Coordinator Ms. Savithri, RKSC Marghdarshak Karadi Shiva, Traffic advisor Dr. Raghuveer, RKSC Women’s forum Joint Secretary Ms. Latha Subramanyam, RKSC Marghdarshak Ms. Nandita, Mr. Vastha Kumar, Trust Manager, Sri Hanumanth Rao, Chukkala Charitable trust, were present & Sub Inspector Mr. Hari Prasad donated blood. RKSC Traffic Marshals Mr. Amit Veervani, Mr. Jayprakash Raju, Mr. Shaker Reddy, Mr. Md Mosin, Mr. Anup volunteered the program.
