The police said that two of the accused, one, Kapil Malik from Rohtak in Haryana and the juvenile are part of the Sandeep alias Mental gang. On receiving a confidential piece of information about the two that they were expected to arrive near Paschim Vihar West metro station to meet an accomplice at midnight, the police laid a trap near the metro station and arrested the two around 1AM. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Mr. P.S. Kushwah, the accused told the police during interrogation that Sonu had directed them to kill Ms.Kamlesh Sehrawat in revenge for his brother Sandeep’s murder on May 2. The police said Ms. Kamlesh Sehrawat who belonged to Pochanpur village was in a live-in relationship with Rajiv alias Monu and was shot dead on December 10. Mr. P.S. Kushwah said Rajiv and Sandeep were business partners who were dealing in the sale and purchase of disputed properties. They had constructed eight flats in Dwarka. After a dispute that broke out between the two, Rajiv along with his accomplices with an intension to grab all the proceeds from the sale of the flats killed Sandeep and Pawan. The accused Sonu was in the idea that Ms. Kamlesh had instigated Rajiv to kill his brother in order to take possession of the flats and other properties. Sonu had initially directed Kapil, Neeraj and the juvenile to kill members of Rajiv’s gang. As their plan to kill Rajiv failed because of heavy police presence. Their next decision was to kill Kamlesh instead. As per the plan on December 10, Sonu, Kapil, Neeraj and the juvenile gathered at Najafgarh and later went to her house. Around 10 a.m., Kamlesh’s son left the house but left the door opened. After his departure Kapil and Sonu, who were wearing helmets, went inside her house and pumped more than six bullets in her, Mr. Kushwah added. A house help was at home at the time of incident. Kamlesh was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries, he said. Ms. Kamlesh got into a living relationship with Rajiv after she along with her brother killed her husband in 2004. She was jailed for the murder. The weapons that were seized from the two accused according to the officer are one semi-automatic pistol, one country made pistol and six live cartridges. ]]>
