Kollam: Rami Isul Din Adam Abdullah, a Sudanese national and a pivotal figure in a major drug trafficking network, was apprehended in Bangalore. He was found in possession of 75 grams of MDMA by the Kollam East Police. The arrest took place near the Kollam KSRTC bus stand during a coordinated search conducted by the District Dansaf team and the Kollam East Police on the 8th of this month. In response, a specialized investigative unit, overseen by Kollam ACP Mr. Pradeep under the directives of Kollam City District Police Chief Ms. Merin Joseph, was assembled. Rami’s apprehension was the outcome of an inquiry into the drug supply chain led by the criminal group. A middle woman named Agnes, who played a role in the illicit trade, had been apprehended prior to Rami’s arrest. The information leading to Rami’s capture was provided by Agnes, and he was apprehended in Bangalore. Rami is the mastermind behind a substantial drug syndicate centered in Bangalore. Their modus operandi involves mass production of narcotics, which are then disseminated to students and young individuals through intermediaries in various states. The operation leading to Rami’s arrest was conducted by a team led by Kollam East Police Inspector Anil Kumar, consisting of SI Maraya Dibin, Ashok Kumar, SCPO Sumesh, CPO Maraya Anu, and Bushra Mol Ramesh.
