DARBHANGA: A video of two schoolboys being beaten up went viral on social media. The incident took place at Mahuban Village in Dohat Narayan Panchayat under the Bahari police station area in the district on Tuesday. In connection with the incident, an FIR had been lodged against eight persons on the basis of the video said Baheri Station House officer Rajan Kumar. The viral video on social media showed two schoolboys being thrashed by the villagers and asked them to lick their spittle from the ground for harassing a minor local girl. Immediately, Darbhanga SSP Babu Ram asked his cops a probe into the incident. During the preliminary investigation, police were made known that the thrashed boys and the victim girl took coaching in the same institute. The incident happened on Tuesday when the girl was returning home after attending her coaching classes. After being aware of the incident, the villagers held a ‘local Kangaro’ court and according to the order of local court judgment they were beaten up in spite of their constant apology. It was one of the onlookers who recorded the incident and uploaded the video to his Facebook page. On the basis of video, an FIR had been registered against eight persons.
