Mysuru, Karnataka: The Karnataka Police Academy successfully conducted a three-day training programme on Economic Offences and Financial Fraud Investigation from June 10 to June 12, 2026, aimed at strengthening the investigative capabilities of police officers in tackling complex financial crimes.
The training programme was inaugurated by Vishnuvardhan N, Director of the Academy, and Chennabasavanna S.L., Deputy Director of the Academy.
A total of 31 police officers from various units across Karnataka participated in the programme, reflecting the department’s commitment to enhancing professional skills and keeping pace with the evolving nature of economic and cyber-enabled financial crimes. The participants included 3 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs), 4 Police Inspectors (PIs), and 24 Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs).
The training focused on the detection, investigation, and prosecution of economic offences and financial fraud cases, equipping officers with the latest techniques, legal knowledge, and investigative methodologies required to handle sophisticated financial crimes effectively.
Such capacity-building initiatives play a vital role in improving the efficiency of police investigations, strengthening public confidence, and ensuring that law enforcement agencies remain prepared to combat emerging financial frauds and economic offences.
