Hoskote: SP Mallikarjuna Baladandi has congratulated the Hoskote police for finding the accused involved in various cases and for seizing 900 grams of gold jewelery and 150 smart phones worth one crore in the month of September.
Theft in the guise of mentally retarded: By pretending to be mentally retarded, the accused caught the attention of the people boarding and alighting the bus in different areas of the city and bus stops and stole more than 150 mobiles worth around 50 lakhs.
The accused was living a luxurious life by selling stolen mobile phones and going to tourist destinations. Also, by opening the mobile locks and getting money up to 2 lakhs through Google Pay, Phone Pay, Hoskote Police Station Inspector BS Ashok and his staff arrested the accused person and imprisoned him.
Burglary from a locked house: Interstate thieves who were stealing at night after identifying locked houses and making sure that no one is in the house were arrested and 700 grams of gold worth 40 lakhs were recovered.
Theft under the guise of helping: A woman from Gauripally East, Bangalore, was relieved of her gold chain from her neck by the accused who were attracting the attention of elderly people traveling in the bus on the pretext of helping women, has been arrested and 125 grams of gold jewelery has been seized.
Theft on the pretext of asking for water: An elderly woman in VR Shobha Meadows apartment in the city was assaulted by a neighbor on the pretext of asking for water.
