Kancheepuram: In the Mambakkam area of the Thalampur police station, Kancheepuram, Senthil Kumar stopped his car on the road and taking rest, two mysterious persons pretended to be asking address with him. They attacked him and snatched his cell phone and escaped from the spot.
Senthil Kumar complained to the Thalampur police station. Immediately the police station, alerted the matter, asked the culprits for signs of the offenders and informed the police in the Thalampur area of the night patrol. The two culprits tried to escape in their two-wheeler when they saw the Police from a tea shop in the area.
When they tried to chase the vehicle, the policemen who came to catch them also they tried to cut Police with a knife. The Police then cleverly caught the two criminals and took them to the police station and inquired them.
Investigations revealed that they were settu(24) and Santosh (24) from Kumananchavadi and they had done the same act in Vandalur area and escaped from there. Police confiscated three cell phones and a knife from them. Subsequently, the police have registered a case against them and are investigating the police.
The Kancheepuram District Superintendent of Police, Mr. Kannan, who has been informed of this case. In this matter Sub-Inspector (training) Mr. Selvaraj, Head Constable, Mr. Thanigai Malai, Constable Mr. Purushoth Kumar, Special cell Head Constable Mr. Ilayaraja, they are involved in this case. They are rewarded and appreciated by Kancheepuram SP.
