Mathura: A merchant dealing with silver, etc. was robbed of 91 Kg of silver ornaments. The employee of the merchant was taking the silver ornaments from one place to another on his two-wheeler and on the way the accused pushed the employee off his two-wheeler and stole the two-wheeler and the silver ornaments.
The merchant approached the Mathura police and registered the complaint about the theft. On receiving the complaint the Mathura Police under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police Dr.Gaurav Grover IPS started investigating into the case and with the help of the highway police came in contact with 2 accused who were on their way to sell the silver ornaments that they had stolen. The accused fired at the police party and in self-defense, the police party fired back at the accused in which the accused were injured and they were arrested by the police. The other 3 accused who were involved in the crime were arrested with the help of the highway police and the entire stolen property was recovered from the possession of the accused. The police recovered motorcycles that were used in the crime and the loot that was thrown in the deep waters of the Yamuna River was also taken by the police into their custody.
While taking note of the details of the accused it was found that the mastermind in the theft was Asoor as Mohammed and 20 people were involved.
The police solved the case within a period of 12 hours the police apprehended the 5 accused involved in the robbery and recovered the entire stolen silver of 91 Kg. This has been a great achievement by the Mathura Police. The Superintendent of Police Dr.Gaurav Grover IPS gave a press meet in connection with the achievement.
