Dibrugarh, Assam: In a major anti-narcotics operation, police recovered around 2.25 kilograms of suspected ganja during a raid carried out in Moran under Dibrugarh district. Two individuals were arrested in connection with the seizure.
According to police sources, the operation was launched based on specific intelligence inputs regarding the illegal transportation and possession of narcotic substances in the area. During the search operation, the police team intercepted the suspects and recovered the contraband believed to be ganja from their possession.
The accused were immediately taken into custody, while the seized substance was sent for further examination and legal procedures. Authorities have initiated a detailed investigation to trace possible links to a wider drug trafficking network operating in the region.
Police officials stated that strict action will continue against drug-related activities as part of the ongoing crackdown on narcotics across Upper Assam.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
