Kakinada: In the region of Pithapuram Mandal, specifically in New Kompalu Gram, an illicit Natu Sarai (a makeshift distillery for producing illegal liquor) came under the scrutiny of law enforcement authorities. The information regarding this unlawful operation was brought to the attention of Mr. Satish Kumar, the IPS officer serving as the Kakinada District Superintendent of Police.
Taking swift action, Kakinada District Additional SP, Mrs. G. Prem Kajal, who holds the position of the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) Officer, assumed the responsibility of supervising the operation. With the objective of curbing this illegal activity and preventing its adverse effects on the surrounding villages, Mrs. G. Prem Kajal initiated a thorough investigation.
The operation carried out by the enforcement team resulted in the destruction of a significant amount of evidence. Specifically, they confiscated and eradicated 200 liters of fermented jaggery, which is a key ingredient in the production of illicit liquor. Additionally, 25 plastic drums, most likely used for storing and transporting the illegal liquor, were also seized and rendered inoperable.
Further investigations revealed that the Natu Sara produced at this illicit facility was being clandestinely distributed to the neighboring villages. This raised serious concerns about public health and safety, as the consumption of such unregulated and potentially harmful liquor can lead to various health hazards.
To raise awareness about the dangers of consuming Natu Sara, Dr. G. Prem Kajal, the dedicated Kakinada District Additional SP, SEB District Special Enforcement Bureau Officer, took the initiative to inform the residents of the respective villages about the potential risks associated with this illicit liquor. Her efforts aimed to safeguard the well-being of the community and deter them from engaging in such hazardous practices.
In continuation of the investigation, Mrs. Nagavalli, an Inspector serving under the Pithapuram SEB, took on the task of conducting a meticulous and comprehensive examination. Her commitment to the case ensures that all parties involved in this illegal operation will be thoroughly scrutinized, and the appropriate legal actions will be taken to bring the culprits to justice.
The successful dismantling of this Natu Sarai and the subsequent efforts to educate the public about its dangers showcase the dedication and effectiveness of the law enforcement agencies in the region.
