Chikkaballapura, Karnataka: Personnel of Gauribidanur City Police Station organized a beat meeting in Wards 24 and 25 of the city to create awareness among the public on safety, law, and community policing initiatives.
During the programme, police educated residents about emergency helpline numbers 112, 1930, and 1098, along with important laws including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act), Child Marriage Prohibition Act, and Child Labour Prohibition Act.
Officials also spread awareness regarding the prevention of chain-snatching, narcotics-related offences, gambling, illegal liquor sales, and traffic rule violations.
Police further introduced the new “Door-to-Door Police” beat system and the “Namma Cop” 24/7 AI Chat Bot Partner initiative aimed at improving public interaction, accessibility, and community safety.
