SUKMA: On Monday, Police launched an operation in the district of Sukma and killed two radical Naxals including a woman. The bodies were identified as that of Madkam Nanda and Sodhi Gandgi. The police official reported that the security forces team was patrolling through the forest located around 90 km from the district headquarters Sukma. The encounter occurred in the forest area of Kanhaiguda village under Konta Police station. The Naxals indiscriminately had started firing at the security forces while marching through the forest. The security personnel retaliated strongly and shunned them. After the battle was over, police recovered two dead bodies including a woman. Besides, they also recovered deadly weapons and ammunition. Madkam carried a cash reward of Rs 8 lakh with him while a reward of Rs 2 Lakh with Sodhi, police said. ]]>
