Thoothukudi: The State Level Shooting Competition for Tamil Nadu Police took place over two days (September 27-28, 2024) at the Commando Training School Center in Othivakam, Chengalpattu District. Police officers from various zones participated in this event. Under the leadership of Mr. Albert John, IPS, the Superintendent of Police for Tuticorin District, 37 policemen from Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Ramanathapuram, Theni, Dindigul, and Sivagangai districts participated, securing a total of 10 medals: 4 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze. On September 30, 2024, Mr. Albert John, IPS, personally met the medal winners at the district police office to congratulate them. The District Superintendent of Police also commended the medal recipients and encouraged them to achieve further success in future competitions.
