Tamil Nadu, Tenkasi: Under the guidance of Tenkasi District Superintendent of Police, Mr. V.R. Srinivasan, awareness programs are being continuously conducted in schools and colleges across the district. These programs aim to educate students about the “People’s Guard” initiative and the “Police Sister” program.
Through these initiatives, students are encouraged to report any issues or crimes they encounter to the designated contact numbers of the police sister assigned to their institution. At the conclusion of the sessions, students took an oath to promptly report any crimes or suspicious activities they witness and to contribute actively to crime prevention efforts.
Additionally, the police department organized similar awareness campaigns throughout the district, informing students and the public about the various helpline numbers available:
