Hyderabad, Telangana: The Chilkalguda Police of Secunderabad Zone successfully apprehended two accused persons in connection with a brutal murder case, demonstrating swift and effective investigation.
The accused, Najmuddin @ Jahangir and Syed Ilyas, were taken into custody on 25.04.2026 at Golden Crown Hotel, Musheerabad, based on credible information. During interrogation, both confessed to their involvement in the crime.
The victim, Mohd. Aleem (43), an AC technician, was found critically injured near KVK Wines, Padmarao Nagar, on 23.04.2026 and was declared dead upon arrival at Gandhi Hospital. Investigation revealed that the accused, who were known to the deceased, had consumed alcohol together before a quarrel broke out over previous financial disputes. In the course of the altercation, Syed Ilyas attacked the victim with a knife, causing fatal injuries.
Police recovered the weapon used in the offence, a blood-stained shirt, and a brown Activa scooter during the investigation. It was also noted that Syed Ilyas has prior involvement in a criminal case.
The case was cracked under the supervision of DCP Ms. Rakshitha Krishna Murthy, IPS, and Additional DCP Sri J. Narsaiah, with guidance from ACP K. Shashank Reddy. The investigation was led by Inspector V. Ramakrishna and his team, whose efforts were instrumental in solving the case swiftly.
