Two members of the terrorist squad Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) were arrested today from Surajpur police station area Greater Noida on the outskirts of the national capital in an extremely successful joint operation of the Uttar Pradesh anti-terror squad (ATS) with the West Bengal Police. Director General of Police (DGP) OP Singh told reporters in Noida that those arrested JMB members were identified as Musharraf aka Musa, and Rubel Ahmed, both of whom are Bangladeshi nationals. According to SSP Ajay Pal Sharma of Gautam Buddha Nagar the two detained were taken for interrogation by officials of the UP ATS and the intelligence department. Police department sources said that the two JMB members were planning to carry out a major terror strike in the National Capital Region (NCR). The officials said that both were active members of the JMB and more revelations in this regard can be made only after interrogation. The DGP said that they would be taken by WB police on transit remand for further interrogation and a team of UP ATS will also interrogate them to extract more information. The JMB, founded in 1998 by Shaikh Abdur Rahman, was banned in 2005 for setting off about 500 bombs side by side all around Bangladesh. A source said that the intelligence department had received a clue that some JMB members were collecting funds in the NCR for their outfit. The Uttar Pradesh anti-terrorist squad had arrested three Bangladeshi youths, suspected to have links with Islamic extremist group Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT), in Lucknow in September last year and fake Aadhaar cards were found from their possession during interrogation. Officials said that Mohammad Imran, Rajiuddin and Mohammad Firdaus, who were brothers, were caught while boarding the Howrah-Amritsar Express train. <div id="attachment_4672591" class="wp-caption alignleft"> <div id="FirstPost_Wap_New/FirstPost_Wap_New_India/FirstPost_Wap_New_India_Internal/FirstPost_Wap_New_India_Internal_Between_Sections_300x250_2" class="between-300x250"></div> </div>
