Indore: Police Commissioner Urban Indore Mr. Harinarayanchari Mishra has been directed to take strict action under “Operation Prahar” to take action against the miscreants involved in drug smuggling and their activities in Indore Commissionerate. In continuation of these instructions, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Mr. Rajesh Hingankar directed Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Mr. Nimish Agrawal and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Mr. Guruprasad Parashar to monitor the purchase and sale of illegal drugs. Accordingly, necessary guidelines have been given to the teams of Crime Branch for necessary action against the accused.
In this sequence, the crime branch team is continuously collecting information confidentially regarding the purchase and sale of illegal drugs and the persons involved in them. Meanwhile, the Crime Branch team received information from the informer that two persons were smuggling narcotics from a car in Lasudia area. On which, action was taken by Crime Branch and police station Lasudia, and Naushad son of Rashid Patel resident of 42 Goya Road near Talab, Khajrana Indore and Shahrukh son of Usman Patel resident of 411 Goya Road, near Khajrana Indore were caught. On search of the accused, about 15 grams of illegal narcotic substances (MD drugs) were found in their possession which was duly confiscated. An offense under the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused in the police station Lasudia and has been taken up for investigation.
