Trivandrum: Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister, said that Police have a big role to play in making a peaceful and secular environment for making Nava Keralam a reality. The awards received by the police in the last five years show that the police have taken their responsibility very seriously, he added. He was addressing the recruits police constables online in the passing out parade. 2362 personnel have completed their training in various battalions of Kerala Police.
The performance of the Government is being judged by the Public by closely observing the activities of the Police. Police personnel should understand this and act sensibly.
The 340 recruits lined up in 10 platoons during the parade held at the SAP ground in Thiruvananthapuram. Mr. Jibin Thomas led the parade. Mr. Amir was the second-in-commander. Among the 340 recruits, there were 48 post graduate candidates, 4 M.Tech candidates, 4 MBA candidates, 30 B.Tech candidates, 2 B.Ed candidates and 188 graduates. Mr. Ajesh K, Mr. Abhijith P Ansbert and Mr. Jazeeluddin C K were nominated for the Best Outdoor, Best Indoor and Best Shooter respectively. Mr. Najimuddin. P was selected as the all-rounder. Of the 2,362 recruits who joined the police force, 230 candidates were Engineering graduates, 11candidates have M.Techs, 37 candidates have MBAs, 1,065 candidates are graduates and 230 candidates are post-graduates.
Mr. K Padmakumar, ADGP, Armed Police Battalion, distributed trophies to the personnel who excelled in various categories during the training period. The recruits were given training at the Special Armed Police, Malabar Special Police, Kerala Armed Police One, Two, Three, Four, Five Battalions, Rapid Response and Rescue Force and the Kerala Police Academy’s Integrated Police Recruitment Training Centre and also at AR Camp at Palakkad and Kottayam.
