Bagashwar: On November 21, 2023, in the Bagashwar region, the complainant, a resident of the Kotwali Police Station area in Bageshwar District, along with his 15-year-old daughter, approached the Kotwali Police Station and submitted an application. The plaintiff detailed the physical exploitation/rape of his minor daughter by Naveen Rautela, son of the late Mr. Surendra Rautela, residing in Dyangad Bageshwar, and the accused’s threats to harm the daughter if she disclosed the incident. Based on the filed complaint, the Kotwali Bageshwar Police registered a POCSO case against the accused, Naveen Rautela. Acting under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Mr. Akshay Prahlad Konde and under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Ankit Kandari, a police team was assembled with specific instructions for the prompt arrest of the accused. Within a short span after the case was registered, the police team, led by In-charge Kotwali and IPC Khashti Bisht, successfully apprehended the accused from his residence in Dyangad.
