Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, September 30: Under the direction of District Superintendent of Police Sri K.V. Maheshwar Reddy, IPS, special drone surveillance operations are being carried out in Srikakulam city and its rural outskirts to curb illegal and anti-social activities.
On Tuesday, drone cameras were deployed in Aya locality, damaged bungalows, gardens, and under-construction areas falling within the limits of I Town, II Town, and Rural Police Stations. The initiative is aimed at preventing incidents such as illegal liquor consumption in open spaces, gambling, marijuana usage, eve-teasing, chain-snatching, and other criminal activities.
The District SP emphasized that strict legal action will be taken against individuals caught engaging in such activities. He further warned that continuous drone monitoring will remain active across sensitive areas of Srikakulam to ensure that anti-social elements do not get a chance to operate.
With these proactive measures, Srikakulam Police have reinforced their commitment to maintaining public safety, law, and order through modern technology and strict enforcement.
