Chikkamagaluru City, Karnataka, October 1, 2025: As part of the ‘Aaraksha Gelathi’ initiative, PSI of Chikkamagaluru Women’s Police Station visited hostels housing post-matric girls and SC students in Chikkamagaluru city to interact with them and address their concerns.
During the visit, the PSI inspected the hostel facilities in the presence of wardens and staff and actively listened to the grievances of the students. In addition, the police officer conducted awareness sessions covering:
* Cybercrime safety
* Traffic rules
* Ill effects of drugs
* POCSO Act
* Prohibition of Child Marriage Act
The programme highlights the police’s ongoing efforts to promote student safety, empower young women, and create awareness about legal and social issues.
