Palakkad, Kerala: The 77th Republic Day of the nation was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour across Palakkad district. The district-level Celebration was held at the historic Palakkad Kotta Maidan, where the Hon’ble Minister for Water Resources and Power, Shri K. Krishnankutty, ceremoniously hoisted the National Flag.
Following the flag hoisting, the Minister took the salute of an impressive and colourful parade, in which contingents from various security forces, National Cadet Corps (NCC), and Student Police Cadets participated with discipline and precision.
The programme was attended by District Collector Smt. Madhavikutty, IAS, District Police Chief Shri Ajith Kumar, IPS, along with senior officers of various departments, public representatives, school students, and members of the public.
As part of the celebrations, awards were presented to the platoons that excelled in the parade, recognizing their outstanding performance and discipline. The event reflected the spirit of unity, patriotism, and respect for the constitutional values of the nation.
