Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: In a significant judicial outcome, the Hon’ble 6th Additional District Court, Sompeta, has sentenced two accused to life imprisonment in a murder case registered at Mandasa Police Station.
According to District SP Sri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, the accused—Konda Ramesh and Bhuvaneshwar Behra @ Bhuvan @ Bobbi —were found guilty of murdering Anand Shetty in 2022 following a dispute. The court also imposed a fine of ₹1,000 on each, with an additional three months of imprisonment in case of default.
The case was initially registered under Section 302 r/w 34 IPC, and a thorough investigation by the police led to the arrest of the accused and filing of a strong charge sheet. The prosecution successfully proved the case in court.
The SP appreciated the efforts of the investigating officers and staff for their dedicated work, which ensured justice for the victim and his family.
