BHAWANIPATNA: A girl student, studying in plus two courses at a local college was raped by one of her own relatives. The incident which had taken place on the 25th of July was in the Mukhiguda area, which falls under the Jaipatna police station in Kalahandi district. According to the information police received, the girl was sleeping alone in the room that night. Taking advantage of the situation, the accused kin named Jyoti Ranjan Das, allegedly raped her. She stayed in her relative’s house in order to complete her plus two courses. Later, when the complaint was lodged police arrested the person accused on Saturday and registered a case against him. The accused is liable to the Indian Penal Code punishment. The victim had been sent a shelter home.]]>
