BHAWANIPATNA: According to the complaint made by the deceased’s maternal uncle police have lodged a case against a woman, the mother of the deceased. The police also have taken both father and mother of the deceased for interrogating who are being suspected of murder. The preliminary interrogation revealed that a woman mercilessly throttled her step-daughter to death. The incident took place on Saturday evening at Lakhapadar village under the Narla police station in Kalahandi district. It is said that on that evening, the deceased had returned home after her physical exercise. While she was in the room, Asha Sahu, the furious mother of the deceased approached her and throttled her to death. When the child’s father Jugeswar retruned home, Asha told him that Nandini was sleeping. He tried to wake her up but found her dead. The reason behind the murder yet to be ascertained said the official. While, Nandini’s maternal uncle got information about the incident immediately lodged a complaint at the Narla police station. Police arrived at the spot and had taken the body of the kid for autopsy. In the meantime, both father and mother have been taken into custody. ]]>
