Kerala, Thrissur City: Mannuthi Police arrested Shameer (40) at his residence in Nedumpuraikkal, Porathissery Karuvannoor village, near Mannuthi Center, with 95.29 grams of MDMA intended for sale. Acting on a tip-off about drug sales at Mannuthi Center, Sub-Inspector KC Baiju, along with Senior Civil Police Officer Unmesh and Civil Police Officer Jayesh, quickly arrived at the location. Upon spotting the police, the suspect attempted to flee but was promptly apprehended. During the search, 95.29 grams of MDMA was seized from him. Investigations revealed that Shameer had been sourcing the drugs from Bangalore for distribution. The accused, who has seven pending cases in Valapad, Iringalakuda, Cherpu, and Thrissur West police stations, was presented in court and subsequently remanded.
