Imphal East: Security forces executed extensive search operations and asserted control over the peripheral and vulnerable zones within Imphal East district. To ensure the smooth and secure movement of essential items, a meticulous operation oversaw the transit of 212 vehicles along NH-2. Rigorous security measures were enforced across all precarious locations, with dedicated security convoys deployed in sensitive stretches to safeguard the unimpeded flow of vehicles.
A total of 142 checkpoints, strategically positioned in diverse districts of Manipur spanning both hill and valley regions, were meticulously established. The police, as part of their enforcement efforts, detained a notable count of 346 individuals across different districts within the state who were found to be in violation of regulations. These measures collectively aimed at reinforcing security, maintaining order, and upholding compliance across Manipur’s diverse geographic and social landscape.
