Gurdaspur: In a significant breakthrough, the Gurdaspur police have successfully dismantled an interstate racket involved in smuggling weapons and drugs. The operation led to the apprehension of six wanted criminals, and the authorities recovered nine pistols, ten magazines, and 35 rounds of ammunition. Among the arrested individuals, Rupinder, a resident of Chhattisgarh, has a history of involvement in NDPS cases in Raipur. Mani, also known as Mau, faces charges related to murder and are implicated in the smuggling of weapons from Maharashtra. The remaining individuals in custody have multiple NDPS cases registered against them in various police stations.
