Punjab, Amritsar: In a significant breakthrough against cross-border drug networks, the Commissionerate Police in Amritsar has apprehended Gurveer Singh, an employee at the Civil Surgeon’s Office in Ferozepur, and seized 5.1 kg of heroin from his possession.
The accused was reportedly disguising himself and operating in different areas of Amritsar. An FIR has been registered at Police Station Cantonment, Amritsar, and investigations are ongoing to uncover and dismantle other individuals linked to the network.
The Punjab Police remains steadfast in its commitment to eradicating drug trafficking and ensuring a safer Punjab.
