Kotdwar: Kotdwar is a city, a municipal corporation and a tehsil in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, India. It is the 8th largest city of Uttrakhand Its old name was “Khohdwara”, which means the gateway of the river Khoh since it is located on the bank of river Khoh.
Mrs. Pauri Garhwal, an old mother told SI Mr. Kripal Singh in Kotdwar about her problem of eating at home. On hearing her issue Mr. Kripal Singh said, “Hey Amma, why are you upset when we are there” and immediately reached her home with food items like flour, pulses, vegetables, milk, oil, fruits, etc.
