Mayabunder: The successful search operation conducted by the staff of PS Mayabunder on April 29, 2024, in the Karmatang area resulted in the recovery of illegal timber. Under the guidance of Inspector P.K Abdul Arif, SHO of Mayabunder Police Station, Police Constables Dilleshwar Rao and Sailen Pandey carried out the operation based on intelligence inputs regarding illegal timber storage in Karmatang, Mayabunder.
During the operation, they seized 48 pieces of Padauk timber and 26 pieces of Pema timber, totaling 0.923 cubic meters. The timber was discovered in the possession of Anand Kujur, aged 56, residing at Karmatang-10, Mayabunder. Forest officials accompanying the search operation took custody of the recovered timber.
