Vijayanagaram: District SP Ms. M Deepika IPS said the Special Enforcement Bureau and local police jointly conducted special raids across the district on February 6 and seized a large quantity of sap and destroyed jaggery stalls stored for Sara making. Special teams were set up with the SEB and local police to carry out special raids in the area previously identified as being made by Natsara. Vijayanagaram SEB Joint Director N Sridevi Rao and Assistant Commissioner Mr. Ramachandra Rao oversaw the special raids.
Sappagottili in Gammalakshmipuram zone, JK Padu, Bhimavaram in Gantyada zone, Kondatamarapalli, Pakir Kithali in Gurla zone, Achuthapuram, Burulapeta, Devuni Kanapaka, Devupalli in Panadalapadu, Panasalapadu in Bondapalli zone, Kothuru in Sota zone, Lottapalli in Sittanagabbalam zone Police and SEB police conducted joint raids in Koya Kondavalasa, Gollapeta, Nakkadavalasa in Salur zone, Pillaguddi in Komarada mandal, Kondalevidi in Kurumapam mandal and Kakitada villages. 981.5 liters of sap and 7.2 liters of IMFL were seized in these special raids. Sarah has registered 40 cases against those involved in manufacturing and smuggling and arrested 13 people. Similarly, police recovered about 24,850 liters of jaggery, cooking utensils, and drums used for making Sara, district SP Ms. M Deepika IPS said. Vijayanagaram JD team CI S Dhanunjaya Naidu, ES Sudhakar, AES D Shailajarani, and other SEB officials and local police were involved in the attack.
