Manipur, Imphal East, April 16, 2025: In a significant breakthrough for security and public safety, a joint operation by security forces led to the arrest of a cadre belonging to the proscribed KCP (Lalumba) group. The arrest was made at the tri-junction of Laiharobam Leirak in Kontha Ahallup Makha Leikai under Heingang Police Station, Imphal East District.
The apprehended individual has been identified as Wahengbam Ramananda Singh (50) of Kontha Ahallup Mayai Leikai, Imphal East. Acting on precise intelligence, security personnel swiftly moved in to detain the suspect and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from his possession.
Seized items include: One 9mm pistol with magazine, Six 9mm live rounds, Two .32 pistols with magazines, Eight .32 live rounds, and One mobile phone.
