Uttarakhand: Upon receiving an urgent message in a WhatsApp group about a patient at Himalayan Hospital in Jolly Grant who desperately needed blood, Uttarakhand Police Constable Shahnawaz Ahmed, stationed in Dehradun, sprang into action. Although he was off duty, he didn’t let that stop him from helping someone in need. Without hesitation, he left his post and rushed to the hospital, where he personally donated blood to help save the patient’s life.
This act of kindness is not an isolated incident for Constable Shahnawaz. He has been a dedicated blood donor since 2007, continuously offering his blood to those in need for over 17 years. His commitment to this selfless act goes beyond duty, embodying his deep compassion and unwavering sense of responsibility towards the community. Over the years, he has become a beacon of hope for many, consistently stepping forward to provide this vital lifeline to those in critical situations.
